Sharbani Dhar

Sharbani was born and brought up in India. As the daughter of an Indian Air Force officer, she spent her childhood moving from towns to cities - savouring experiences from every nook and corner of the beautiful and diverse country. In Melbourne for the last eight years, this is the longest she has stayed in a city and has finally decided to put down her roots here.

In her current role as Director of Design Operations at Australia Post, she manages execution and strategy of customer experience for enterprise teams to achieve customer-centric outcomes balanced with business objectives. A firm believer that diversity leads to better problem solving and delightful solutions; she focuses her efforts to build teams and culture to adopt a more diverse outlook towards problem-solving. She often volunteers her time to mentor young, culturally diverse students and new professionals trying to get a foothold in the Australian job market. In her free time – when she is not pondering over trials and tribulations of life along with her seven-year-old son – she can be caught rummaging in Op Shops for old pieces of furniture to paint a bright red.
