Alex Crook
I am a passionate advocate of understanding the needs of people based on ethnographic and behavioural analysis.
I have over 10 years human sciences experience running extensive testing, ethnographic immersions, ideation and design development work globally in the consumer, technology, pharma and media innovation space.
I am the Product Design Research Lead at the ABC, where I oversee design research activities across all our digital products; ABC Kids app, ABC iview, ABC Listen, ABC News, ABC Homepage, triple J plus others.
My key objective is to ensure the human experience is accounted for in the innovation and design process of our products, in order to deliver exceptional experiences. I am a great proponent of human-centred design and work with the teams to instil this in our thinking and practice.
With a background in Law and an MSc in Applied Social Psychology, I love to delve deeply into people’s lives and gather rich information about their attitudes, perceptions, behaviours and culture all over the world.
