My path to Design Leadership has been a circuitous one. Via a physics PhD, IT consulting, and Product Delivery and Strategy roles. So perhaps my specialisation is actually being a business/product generalist - continuing that theme I am currently studying my MBA.
I passionately believe that commercial and business acumen make for strong design leaders. Particularly when considering the topics of wellbeing, resilience and hybrid working. These are general leadership concerns but for designers they underpin our ability to continue creative and innovative work.
