Sketch Group is Back to Sponsor UX Australia 2020

Sketch Group

We're delighted to welcome our friends from Sketch Group back to spoonsor UX Australia 2020.

Sketch Group is an award-winning visual consultancy based in Melbourne, who use sketching to tell stories, solve problems, explain ideas, and capture conversations.

UXA regulars will be familiar with Matt Magain and his colleagues sketchnoting many of our events over the years: live, in real time, with 800 conference attendees looking over their shoulders.

There will be sketchnoting again this year - of the four keynote speakers, at least - but Sketch Group are also hosting a couple of creative opportunities for conference attendees.

Sketch and Sip: 5.30pm-6.30pm, Thursday 27 August

"Hi, Matt here, from Sketch Group. I'd love you to join me for a drink—and some sketching! Together we'll practice drawing faces and figures—all with a beer, wine or soft drink by your side. At Sketch Group we believe that visuals trump words, any day. We're all about using sketching to tell stories, solve problems, explain ideas, and capture conversations. Bing pen + paper (or tablet with a drawing app) + something to drink. Send an email to sip-and-sketch@sketchgroup.com to register."

Sketching the User Experience: 2pm-3pm, Friday 28 August

"Draw along with Matt from Sketch Group, as we explore how to better use sketching to communicate and collaborate better. We'll look at drawing basic objects, faces, and figures, plus you'll get tips, shortcuts, and techniques that you can use to communicate and collaborate better in team meetings and client negotiations.
