Digital value in cultural places
Australian cultural institutions – the galleries, libraries, archives and museums of our cities and towns – have amazing, rich and valuable collections that represent who we are as a community and a nation. How might we best connect audiences with those collections, and the knowledge of their curators and custodians? What are the user experience challenges in helping people discover, explore and engage with collections?
What is the role of customer-centred design in this process? Where does service design fit in? What about the new kinds of value that can be created and delivered in online channels and with digitised assets? What about social impact?
