Stop designing screens, start designing change
Over 70% of all attempts at change will fail this is despite nearly 20 years of change management practice. Often this is because we don’t change the behaviour of the people behind the product or service.
As designers, we may design the best product or service, based in user centred design, but if people don’t adopt it or use it, all our efforts are wasted.
In this discussion, we will share our experience with how we have applied design thinking and design tools to help us deliver successful organisational change by addressing and dealing with underlying organisational cultural problems.
The reason why the design approach works is that it is about people. It engages employees at all level actively making them part of the journey. By allowing employees at all levels to help shape the nature of the change, it is easier to identify and resolve barriers and provides a solid bedrock for organisational transformation.
Learn to identify different types of change and when to use design thinking. The session will walk you through a series of tools and techniques supported by examples that we have successfully applied help organisations embed culture change programs to better engage employees.
Along with our insights we will also provide supporting examples of organisations where we have applied these tools successfully.
