Scribble your way to success!
As a user experience designer with a history in graphic design and the visual arts, specifically drawing & painting, I‘ve noticed an avoidance of good old-fashioned pen & paper drawing on the part of many user experience designers. Considering how fast one can generate ideas, try out structures and record visual thoughts with analog materials, I consider this avoidance a serious disadvantage.
The primary goal of this workshop would be to take away the fear of drawing, show that anyone can draw and demonstrate drawing based rapid idea generation & decision-making techniques. This workshop will cover:
- the basics of drawing
- differences between analog & digital visual thinking
- differences between drawn & ”clean” wireframes
- drawing exercises
- demonstrate of a drawing-driven client workshop
- other ways to continue to improve drawing skills
