How many participants do you need to conduct research in order to determine real insights? Hear from Brandon Di Bartolo and Stefano Portaluri about how and why the methodology you use to determine the size of your participant pool needs refreshing.

Stefano Portaluri

Stefano is a Lead Customer Journey and Research specialist at Woolies X, where he works across the digital business to help teams map out end to end customer journeys and identify key opportunity areas. Stefano also works with Askable + working on research projects for a range clients. With a background in Organisational Psychology and Behavioural Economics, Stefano, has worked across a range of industries including, finance, media, government, utilities and e-commerce. He is incredibly passionate about understanding people, their underlying needs, and how we as Human-Centered design thinkers can help solve key customer and business problems. With a strong background in research and human behaviour he works to help uncover those golden insights that drive great customer experiences.

Brandon Di Bartolo

Brandon is the Head of User Experience at Askable where he obsesses over making research easier, faster, and more insightful. Most days, you’ll find Brandon understanding how teams are conducting research, and translating those insights into an experience that people genuinely love. He loves to tell a good story, especially when he is presenting insights. When he’s not obsessing over design systems and clever solutions for the Askable platform, he’s riding his motorcycle, getting traditional Japanese tattoos and collecting art toys, but not all at the same time, that would be a terrible experience and just straight-up dangerous!
