Petra Gulicher

Petra (aka Petch) has been taking things apart to see how they work for as long as she can remember. She’s built that curiosity into love for programming and the things we can achieve when we make technology work for us.

She’s worked on and grown teams that build things for computers large and small - from mobiles, computers, consoles and appliances. However most of her work has been on the web, exploring the transformation that comes with immediate and contextual interfaces using a technology ecosystem that evolves every day.

User generated content is nothing new (it’s been around the Web 2.0 revolution that brought commenting to websites) yet some old and contemporary issues are still seeking answers: what’s the right amount of data to collect, and when? How do we provide a safe framework for discussion and ensure that we use technology to provide an effective shared platform? And why is state management in forms still so darn complicated?
