Dr Melis Senova

Melis has a degree in biomedical instrumentation and a PhD in Human Factors, she also got half way through an MBA but decided to have a child instead. She spent a year in Japan imaging brains and watching them work using PET and fMRI and then realised that she will never really master Kanji. Her area of expertise covers experience design and concept prototyping, systems engineering, and human factors research.

She has worked in academia, defence, automotive and telecommunications. She wanted to do a PhD so she could be Charlie from Top Gun, but don’t hold that against her.

Melis is inspired by clever, insightful, and meaningful design, and simplicity. She’s tried tennis, gymnastics, playing the flute and guitar, Jazz Ballet, Tae Kwon Do, gliding and sailing and has realised that her brain is her best asset.
