Prototyping as a Research tool

Prototyping is usually associated with the design of digital experiences or a new thing. It’s framed as testing: a validation of whether you got it right or not, and whether or not your audience likes your idea.

We like to think about prototyping in terms of learning rather than testing. An opportunity to deepen what you know about your audience. A space to explore with your audience how you could solve the issue in ways you might not have already considered. Critically, it helps you understand how your ideas work in context - the good, the bad, the surprising and the ugly effects.

Considering all that you can learn, we should be prototyping everything. And you can prototype anything - conversations, experiences, things, futures. It’s a whole load of fun and doesn’t have to break the budget.

Karina and Alexandra are passionate about prototyping in everything they do. In this workshop, we’ll help you push past your own personal or your organisation's cultural blockers to prototyping and build the confidence to prototype anything.

This workshop will run online on Wednesday, 16 March 9 am - 5 pm.
